We know that one of the most important reasons to use Player XP is to enhance a team's community monitoring so that other members of the team receive good visibility of community sentiment and reaction. With this in mind, we've produced the following article that looks to summarise some of our best practices for integrating Player XP's results into your reports.
Firstly, it's important to say that we know there is more Player XP can do and we have numerous plans to improve how integrated your dashboard can be with the rest of your workflow. Some of these plans are detailed on our roadmap which you can visit here.
This isn't to say that there aren't some very useful ways to take data from Player XP and build them into your reports right now. This article is going to detail some of these methods, hopefully highlighting a couple of new things for you as you become more familiar with Player XP.
Exporting the Entire Page:
You can export a whole page from Player XP, ready for inclusion in your reports. This is great for providing an overview of your community sentiment or reporting on a specific feature or category.
To use this feature, click the cog icon alongside the page header (as seen above). You should then be presented with a dropdown, within which you'll find an option labelled "Export Page". Clicking this will provide you with an image capture of the entire page, which you can then either include as a whole or break apart for specific features.
You can also click the first option to export a CSV of all sentiment and interaction numbers for your game to include in your reports.
Exporting Individual Elements:
Whilst the above is useful for quick exports of multiple elements, if you wanted to export a capture of any individual element on the page, you can do so easily by using our Share functionality. To see if the chosen element has Share functionality, keep an eye out for the following icon...
If you see the icon above and want to export an image of the element, simply click the icon above and select "Save As Image". You'll then be presented with some options as to how you'd like to format the image before you download the image.
Exporting the Data:
Sometimes taking snapshots of the elements isn't enough and you need to do a bit more with the data. The good news is that we've considered this and have recently introduced the option to "Export Data" from any element that contains the same Share icon seen previously.
Clicking this allows you to either export the data as a CSV or copy it to the clipboard, allowing you to easily take the raw data and work with it as you wish.
Weekly Email
Finally, we provide weekly emails to be sent to you and your colleagues for your game. This weekly email presents key data including last week's performance, last month's performance and the current year's performance, resulting in a comprehensive recap of your community activity.
If you don't already have an email setup, you can do so by navigating to the Hub page and selecting "Notification Settings" from the left-hand menu. Within here, you can control who the email is sent to and when it is sent.
