Player XP has integrated Discord as a data source to produce a wider and more reliable range of data. Integrating Discord as a data source into Player XP provides you with full user interactions and visibility on what was posted in their different communities.
Below you have a brief overview of how you can use Discord within Player XP...
Summary:
Seeing this on your dashboard already confirms the state of your data as provided by our Discord data source.
- Here we have all of Discord's listed channels through which data are collected. You can view data per individual channel by selecting your desired channel from the drop-down menu.
- You can search for a topic discussed within Discord to bring up the summary in terms of data related to that particular term or phrase.
- By clicking an option on this menu, you will be taken straight to the section you click on.
Over Time Interactions:
This represents the volume of interactions within a date range on Discord. The orange bar shows the number of people within the community and the blue bar provides the number of interactions between those members over the selected period of time.
Sentiment Split:
This section shows the split of sentiments collected from Discord’s data over the selected date range. The Green represents positive interactions, the Orange neutral and the Red negative.
Active Time:
This chart shows you how active members of the community are within Discord throughout the day. The most active hour of the day is represented. You can view the data as per time zone by selecting the time zone from the drop-down menu.
Sentiment Drivers:
This table gives you the numbers for sentiment drivers. Top 5 side by side for both Most Positive and Most Negative over the selected period. By clicking the arrow, you will see detailed figures of the related topic.
Most Discussed Categories:
The chart will display the sentiments for the top categories according to sentiments. By clicking on the arrows, you will be able to view other discussed categories within Discord. By clicking on each of the categories, you will be able to view detailed figures related to that particular category.
Audience Type Segmentation:
This chart provides you with the types of members that are taking part in the community. The blue bar represents the number of interactions and the line represents the sentiments recorded over the selected time period.
By clicking the 'retrieve volume values' button, you will view the recorded figures on Discord about each audience. This also gives you the overall sentiment of the audience in those communities as displayed in the image below.
By clicking on the left or right arrow, you can view all audiences with their figures. These audiences include:

The additional charts show you the sentiment of the 7 most discussed categories in the Discord community and the most frequently mentioned terms, along with their corresponding sentiment.
Posts and Interactions:
This section shows you the comments and interactions posted on Discord by members of the community.
By clicking on the user’s icon, all comments from that user will be highlighted. Right below the comment, you can see the date and time the comment was added. You can see the sentiment generated by the comment made by the user. By clicking on any of the faces, you can report the sentiment or the category.
