Player XP has 20 pre-set categories in place across all of its games: the current set Player XP Categories was introduced in 2021 as part of our continued efforts to increase the value and usability of Player XP.
These categories aim to group all discussions players have when they talk online about a specific title.
Throughout the dashboard, you will see the categories referenced by name and icon. Click here to learn more about the Default Categories and how they can help sorting your community's feedback in Player XP.
Managing Default Categories
Our customization feature allows users to hide a default Category or modify its name, with the aim of providing users with the flexibility to align overlapping Categories with their internal reporting.
To hide a particular default Category, simply access the "Default Categories" tab within the Dashboard Customization panel on the Hub page. From there, click on the eye icon associated with the desired Category. Once selected, the icon will become more transparent and display a line through it, indicating that the default Category is now hidden. See the example below:
To edit the name of any of the default Categories, simply select the edit icon to the left of the hide icon and input your desired name for the category. When done, click on the tick to confirm your changes.
